Barnyard: The Original Party Animals

The commercials for Barnyard made it look like a funny, 100% goofy movie, but sadly that only applies to the first 20 minutes. The garbage starts after the lead cow (which should be a bull, but don’t even get me started on that pitiful mistake that they made) is killed by coyotes. Then it tries (and fails HORRIBLY) to copy the Lion King, as Otis learns responsibility and takes on the coyotes, blah, blah, yadda, yadda. Unlike Shrek 2 and Over the Hedge, which had pop culture references that were actually funny, Barnyard simply copies them (badly) and throws in other junk that’s more stupid than funny, like the stupid fat, rapping mouse… Its just not funny. Films like this are Over the Hedge’s toilet paper. Believe me or not, you can decide by yourself after you watch it.
