Brave Heart

Brave Heart is a famous movie, and it leaves a remarkable point in the history of American movies. It told a story about a brave heart of a man who insisted on bringing freedom to his homeland. The main actor, William Wallace, was a Scottish rebel who led an uprising against the cruel English ruler Edward the Longshanks, who intended to inherit the crown of Scotland for himself. As a young boy, William Wallace’s father and brother, along with many other people, fought against the lord who treated his people badly, and lost their lives trying to bring freedom to Scotland. When he lost another of his loved ones, William Wallace began his long quest to set Scotland free for all his people, along with the assistance of Robert, the Bruce. They fought bravely and miserably at first, but soon more and more people joined in. They became a big force that could not be neglected any more. Owing to the belief William gave to Longshakes, he was cheated and caught, then sentenced to death quickly. With his last breath, William still cried out of one single word that shook everyone’s heart, the classic word “Freedom”. The Scotland people encouraged by him finally gained the freedom through a miserable and bloody fight. This is a movie all about the freedom which is the most important thing to the people of one country. The courage William shows from the very beginning till the last moment before he dies, can give a unforgettable impression and encourages you when you are in trouble. This is a great movie.
