The Beauty

The Korean movie The Beauty tells us a tragic story of a beautiful woman. She has the beauty just like god’s giving. She is not a pop star but there are always some young people mistaking her for a pop star and asking for a sign. She was very proud of that. But before long she noticed that the beauty is the poison for her as well. The boyfriend of her best friend calls saying that she is the one he really loves. Soon he broke up with her best friend which causes the breakup of their friendship. What is worse, she was raped one day by a young man who often claimed that she was his love for ever. She realized that all the tragedies were because of the beautiful appearance. She began to eat much to drive herself to get fat in order to avoid the others’ attention. But she failed. Then she tried to get thinner, failed again. At last she decided to be a bad woman, to date with a lot of different men. We can see from all these that the woman got sick in psyche. But what is the root for this. It is the desire of human beings. She was not wrong to be beautiful. But the society is going on the wrong way. The psyche of the people is going on the wrong way. It is time to do something about it now, or we can not make sure what will our society will be like in the future.
